MINUTES SPECIAL MEETING-BOARD OF ALDERMEN Monday October 24, 2022
Proceedings of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Jeanerette, State of Louisiana, at their Regular meeting held Monday October 24, 2022 at 5:00 p.m.
Those present were: Mayor Carol Bourgeois Jr., Alderman Clarence Clark, Alderwoman Charlene Moore, Alderman Garland Bourgeois, and Alderman Willie Ward. Also present: City Clerk Susan Colden, and Treasurer Liz Verdun and Police Chief Vallot., Absent Alderman Ray Duplechain
Mayor Carol Bourgeois Jr. led in prayer and Alderman Ward led the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Carol Bourgeois Jr. determined that a quorum was present.
5. Agenda
A. Resolution 14 of 2022 To grant authority to the Mayor to sign necessary documents to apply for 2023-2024 Capital Outlay for renovations of city properties and roads and as prepared by Minvielle and Associates. After a discussion, motion by Alderman Ward to approve, second by Alderwoman Moore. Roll call vote
Yeas: Alderwoman Moore, Alderman Bourgeois, Alderman Ward
Nay: Alderman Clark
Absent: Alderman Duplechain
Abstain: None
Motion Carried
B. Final PPE#5 for approval for $5,000. Job No. 8002-09 New Water Line under railroad by Ward 8 and along Hubertville Road Funding by CWEF and LGAP
Motion by Alderman Bourgeois to approve, second by Alderwoman Moore. Roll call vote
Yeas: Alderman Clark, Alderwoman Moore, Alderman Bourgeois, Alderman Ward
Nay: None
Absent: Alderman Duplechain
Abstain: None
Motion Carried-
C. Identification of roads for repair for project funded by Act 170 and ARPA Infrastructure funds. Discussions identified Pellerin St.-Main to Church, Provost St. -from Main to railroad, Virginia St.- from Main to bayou. Ira St.. The Mayor reminded the board that the Act 170 funds will need to be awarded by bids. Asked for more input on sidewalks and roads.

The Mayor mentioned that Nov 11 the mobile food truck will again be at the Mac’s

Adjourn There being no further business to bring before the Board of Aldermen a motion by Alderman Bourgeois and second by Alderman Clark to adjourn the meeting carried with a voice vote of all yea, no abstain and Alderman Duplechain absent.
