The City of Jeanerette met on October 27, 2025. The following resolution was offered by Alderwoman Clay and seconded by Alderwoman Moore

RESOLUTION 11 of 2025

A RESOLUTION FOR A SECOND OPINION
FOR JEANERETTE SEWER PROJECT

WHEREAS, The City of Jeanerette, Louisiana, in order to discharge its obligation to the citizens and public recognizes the need for a second opinion relative to the cost and scope for the Jeanerette Sewer Project and

WHEREAS, pursuant to the authority of the Board of Alderman vested by Section 1-105 of the Code of Ordinance for the City of Jeanerette, Louisiana adopted May 24, 1976, unanimously voted to obtain a second opinion relative to the cost and scope of the Jeanerette Sewer Project from Miller Engineers & Associates and

WHEREAS, the Board of Alderman hereby authorizes the Mayor for the City of Jeanerette to execute any and all documents regarding the second opinion relative to the cost and scope of the Jeanerette Sewer Project with Miller Engineers & Associates and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, The City of Jeanerette, Louisiana desires to obtain a second opinion relative to the cost and scope from Miller Engineering & Associates, an engineering firm to provide a professional engineering opinion relative to the cost and scope of the Jeanerette Sewer Project; and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption by the City of Jeanerette Board of Aldermen and approved the services of an engineering firm to provide a second opinion relative to the cost and scope of the Jeanerette Sewer Project. This Resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:

Yeas: Alderwoman Clay, Alderwoman Moore, Alderman Bourgeois, Alderwoman Simmons,
Nay: None
Absent: Alderman Duplechain
Abstain: None

And the Resolution was declared adopted this _27th_day of October 2025.

THEREUPON, the above resolution was duly adopted.
