RESOLUTION NO. 1 OF 2025

The following resolution was offered by Alderman Duplechain seconded by Alderwoman Moore and carried.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Jeanerette, in regular session assembled,

A Resolution granting and ratifying the authority to the Mayor to enter into an Agreement with the Jeanerette Mardi Gras Association Krewe of Ezana.

WHEREAS, the Jeanerette Mardi Gras Association Krewe of Ezana provides a parade and gathering along with festivities celebrating Mardi Gras,

WHEREAS, the Jeanerette Mardi Gras Association Krewe of Ezana is seeking to utilize the services of the City of Jeanerette to assist in the parade.

WHEREAS, the Jeanerette Mardi Gras Association Krewe of Ezana wants to contract with the City of Jeanerette to provide certain services as specified in the contract to be executed by the City of Jeanerette and the Jeanerette Mardi Gras Association Krewe of Ezana.

Now be it resolved that, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Jeanerette hereby grants and ratifies the Mayor, to enter into an Agreement with the Jeanerette Mardi Gras Association Krewe of Ezana and execute any and all documents.

I, Susan Colden, hereby certify that I am the City Clerk of the City of Jeanerette, and that the above and foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by the Mayor of the City of Jeanerette on the 10th day of February, 2025.
