Alderwoman Clay, and duly resolved:
RESOLUTION NO. 3 of 2025
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
FROM THE STATE OF LOUISIANA
UNDER CIF – DELTA REGIONAL
AUTHORITY PROGRAM


WHEREAS, the State of Louisiana has announced that applications are being accepted for the Community Infrastructure Fund (CIF), funded by the Delta Regional Authority (DRA); and
WHEREAS, the Community Infrastructure Fund offers grants to eligible municipalities and parishes for a wide range of projects to build basic infrastructure, build transportation infrastructure, promote business development with an emphasis on entrepreneurship, and promote workforce development; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed necessary and proper for the City of Jeanerette to submit an application to the Community Infrastructure Fund for Sewer System Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the City of Jeanerette hereby commits additional funding over the requested grant amount.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Jeanerette that Sellers & Associates, Inc. is hereby authorized to submit the necessary documents and the Acadiana Planning Commission is authorized to provide technical assistance for the CIF - DRA on behalf of the City of Jeanerette and that the Honorable Carol Bourgeois, Jr., Mayor, is hereby authorized to sign all documents related to the Community Infrastructure Fund.
THEREUPON, the above resolution was approved.
