Minutes from the Tuesday March 3, 2025 Personnel and Policy Committee Meeting
Present- Susan Colden City Clerk, Alderwoman Charlene Moore, and Alderwoman Clay. Alderwoman Clay called the meeting to order. There were no public comments. Alderwoman Simmons created an amendment to Section 4-1001 to add item c & d which allows the board of Aldermen to appoint an interim chief of police and defines the term of appointment as 120 days and does allow for re-appointment until a Chief is appointed. Alderwoman Clay agreed with the wording and City Clerk Colden said that Alderwoman Simmons had it reviewed by legal. The committee agreed to have it available for introduction at the March 10 meeting. With no other items to discuss adjourned the meeting.
